I FINISHED MY EXAMS!

Exams Special.

It's the exams period in NUS. And studying for exams in NUS is as stressful as O levels and A levels, if not even more stressful, just that the torture ends faster.

For the past few weeks, I resembled somewhat like a walking zombie. I slept for less than 5 hours each day, sometimes even going without sleep. It's a nightmare I'm glad to have ended and a state of lifelessness I managed to survive.

But I really thank God I have this one whole bunch of people stuck with me in this exams period. We study together, we eat together, we sleep together, and we pray together. Knowing that you're not alone, and knowing that God's with you, that makes everything a lot easier to endure.

So, here's a tribute to every student's devil, the exams.
And for all who are still in it, p.e.r.s.e.v.e.r.e., it will soon be OVER. :)

1: The Battle belongs to the Lord. List of who's having exams when and where.
2: LORD is with us. This banner's done by guanrui two semesters ago and has been with us ever since. :)

3: Pantry=FOOD! Woohoo. Stocks of coffee, milo, biscuits, instant noodles, snacks, etc.
4: Stay healthy while mugging=FRUITS! Eat more fruits. Cannot fall sick!

5: Well prepared by guanrui. A list of when 151 will arrive at our usual bus-stop. :)
6: Prepared by bowen and some other brothers. Panadols, cough syrup, eyemo, plasters, fengyou, pills for tummyaches. *Applaud*

7: Whiteboard entertainment: What are your plans for christmas? Check out yz's reply: "Mug 4 sem 2" *!!!!!* -_______________- 真是欠揍!
8: Made by jiadai and jitkai, God-ley's DOUBLEMINT. Haha!

9: Guanrui bought this for us!!! *Applaud!* This is air-purifier. Eucalyptus flavor, helps sooth colds, and improves concentration. Thanks Guanrui!!!

And in case you're wondering who's guanrui...

TAHDAH~! Hoohoo. Here's guanrui with his MINDMAP.

It's OVER! Praise the Lord!
Okay, only that particular module's over. Jiayou guanrui for the rest of your modules! And thank God for you!!! :DD

10: My fengshui desk, haha. Nah, it's just where I've muggged at this sem and for the past few sems. (refer to last semester's exams blogpost here.) Oh, and thanks to CARRIE and ZZ for blessing me with SO much food! Thanks!!! :)

Yea, I brought my pig over to study with me, and gosh she is SO POPULAR i tell you. Especially with people like sl, bowen, guan, and dawn. I've always thought that she's cute, but seeing you guys cuddle her like that makes her even cuter. Haha.

And lastly, here's an exclusive video.
Based on true story.
Directed by zz, and starring Venetia.
(I dunno what's its title, perhaps I'll update later.)

Enjoy!

Photos. Lots of them.

Guess who we met?

Zann spotted him, saying his botak head looks familiar. -.-

Me + Zann. Just got to know her on thurs night through sia on msn.

2nd attempt at jumping=successful.

It is very paisehy to jump in the middle of changi airport. Yes, i do feel paiseh. But it's very exhilarating. I don't mind doing stupid stuff in public because none of these people will remember me, and i'll most prolly never see them again. So who cares.

Recently i'm starting to feel that my eyes are getting so bigg they're scary.

On friday, sam asked me if i wear contacts. She thought i wore those that make your pupils look bigger. (She then mumbled saying my eyes are pretty.) And then on sun he, too, asked me if i wear contacts. (I bet he thinks my eyes look pretty. HAHHAHHAHA.)

KBOX-ing.

Went Kboxing afterwards with zz, junyao, zhichun, and tiyo.

Notice the difference in singing intensity.

We were trying to act mtv-style. HAHHAHA. Okay, FAILED I KNOW.

That's all. Lazy to blog further. I'm in school right now. This week is study week, and next week's exams. *Yawns*

wedding+dinner.

Came back from a wedding dinner with many thoughts and feelings. Well, it was a small peaceful dinner. Literally small, with only about 9 tables. And literally peaceful too, also known as boring.

I went in one hour late because i had lessons. I was SO tempted to give it a miss because i am REALLY TIRED physically, having had very little sleep for the past weeks, and having had a long day. But i decided to go in the end. My bro said, "Just eat then leave lor." So i seriously went there for the food, and the food alone.

I stepped into the hotel not knowing where to go and who to expect. I see a wedding dinner reception, and i peeked in. Unfamiliar faces. And then a man calls my name. Alas, it is my uncle. I couldn't recognize him because he has aged ALOT. He now has a blooming head of white hair, somewhat resembling our minister mentor.

Quite saddening to see my uncle age so much. People DO get old.

My uncle leads me in and introduces me to the wedding couple. I stare at them for a moment and wonder, "Which one am i related to?"

Apparently it's the groom, and apparently he just got back from overseas studies.

So i got seated down with my dad and my bro, at a table of strangers. Strangers indeed, i don't know them at all. And they don't know me either. So began the long peaceful dinner. It is so long and so peaceful that i got out my trusted k800i and starting snapping pictures.

At the end of the LONG PEACEFUL dinner (notice the stress yet again), i probably took some ten thousand photos of knives and plates and strangers. Here are some to share.

(1): Diagonal lines in photos give a sense of motion--NM2208.
(2): 豆花飯莊
(3): Their way of tea. Everyone's cup has some of these herbs, and they just keep pouring hot water in and you have your tea.
(4): Totally random.

Tea. Chrysanthemum, longnan, 枸杞子, and miscellaneous herbs i don't know of.

These three pictures are of the same collection.
(1): Ceiling lamp.
(2): Strangers.
(3): Where my eyes rest at for half the time.

There is something really special about this restaurant. There are two male waiters who would go around topping up your tea with the teapot with ULTRA-LONG spout. And you know i'm the kind that don't really bother how other people are looking at me. So i requested to take a picture of one of them.

Beady eyes, fair skin. So typical. I wonder if they include these features in the job requirements.

This series is entitled "Watch how the water flows"

I drank some SIX cups of tea before i managed to take these photos. Sometimes, the guy refilled my cup before i got my camera ready. Sometimes this other female waitress who is dedicated to refilling cups came along and refilled my cup with a normal teapot. THIS SERIES is thus also entitled "為藝術而犧牲之喝爆了肚". Long title.

Another reason why this wedding dinner is so peaceful is because there is none of those usual stuff like Bride-Walks-Down-Among-DryIce, Cut-the-Cake, Pour-the-Champagne, Watch-Courtship-Videos. And also no YAM-SENG. It's just eat your food and smile.

Which gets me thinking. What kind of a wedding dinner do i want? Or do i even want to have one in the first place?

If you've asked me before, you'd have known that my type of a honeymoon is a backpacking trip around Europe. None of the 5-star hotels and Disneylands. My type of a honeymoon (or travel for that matter), isn't one that paints a perfect picture of that country. I want to be immersed in THEIR culture, live THEIR way of life, and explore THEIR beauty.

SO. Coming back to my type of wedding dinner, i think it would be a simple in-house buffet with home cooked food. No sharksfin, no abalone, and NO WEDDING HONGBAOS. They're all such a waste of money. Instead of wedding hongbaos, everyone just have to bring a letter or note with their blessings. I think that's so much more meaningful than eating abalones with strangers.

So, having written my longest post in ages, and you having read my longest post in ages, i wanna know how DO YOU FEEL. Do you enjoy reading these chunks of words or do you prefer KISS (keep-it-simple+sweet)??

Because for me personally, when i see chunks of words on a person's blog, usually i'll just skim through, if not skip through. Unless i take great interest in this person, like close friends and all.

So, FEEDBACK LAHS. KISS? OR CHUNKY?? Go and TAG!

taken from ieatishootipost

And yes before I forget, let me comment on the hospital fish porridge which was my first meal after surgery. With all due respect to the hospital cooks, it really wasn't their fault that I could not order lamb chops which I am sure would be quite good -- the fish porridge was Bleeeeaaachhh!! 1/5

ieatishootipost was admitted to the hospital to undergo Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, which is to remove his gallbladder. (hahahha.) And these are his comments about the hospital's food. I found them hilarious because if you read his food blog, you'd notice that all the food have a rating of at least 3/5. And he gave the hospital's porridge a 1/5. Shows how horrible the porridge is! Also, him rating EVEN the porridge shows how much of a food blogger he is. Hah. Interesting character he is. :)

Couldn't sleep so got up and did a personality test.

You Are An INTP

The Thinker

You are analytical and logical - and on a quest to learn everything you can.
Smart and complex, you always love a new intellectual challenge.
Your biggest pet peeve is people who slow you down with trivial chit chat.
A quiet maverick, you tend to ignore rules and authority whenever you feel like it.

In love, you are an easy person to fall for. But not an easy person to stay in love with.
Although you are quite flexible, you often come off as aloof or argumentative.

At work, you are both a logical and creative thinker. You are great at solving problems.
You would make an excellent mathematician, programmer, or professor.

How you see yourself: Creative, fair, and tough-minded

When other people don't get you, they see you as: arrogant, cold, and robotic

Hmmm, I don't really agree with some parts. Like i totally enjoy trivial brainless chit chats, and i seriously cannot be a programmer. I failed my programming module, remember? There were some questions which i had a tough time deciding the answer cuz i felt that both options are true of me. Also, I guess doing it when i'm melancholic does affect the results. Anyways.

ROUND.

The main character in my storybook for nm2208. Created by yours truly. Cute hor? Say yes. I took this picture because I think his head looks like a strawberry.

The Christmas feeling is in the air. And increasing. =)
Makes me wanna play when exams are around the corner.

Firstly.
Sia introduced this website on her blog, where you simply type in your full chinese name and tah-dah, it displays the contents of your brain, i.e. what you're always thinking about.

Well, i tried it, and this is what i got.

陶洁希の脳内

Erm, abit 夸张 huh?
Shan't tell you whether it's true or not.

Secondly.
I like this video a lot. Remember when i was in secondary school, i would draw at the corners of my textbooks, and my friends' textbooks, such that when you flip the pages quickly, you'll see an animation.

How We Met.

Okay, the last part abit censored lah.

Thirdly.
HELLO SODAGREEN.

TGIF stands for Thank God It's Friday

TGIF gathering last friday at NUS.
After games and food we started playing the "How-many-marshmallows-can-you-stuff-into-your-mouth" game. How fun. Hahahhaha.

Jalea. Edmund. Guanrui.

Many many people with marshmallows.

After that we had an ending game, where we have to dress up someone in our group into any famous character. My group is 发菜 (Huat-ah~!). And we dressed up sherli into SAILORMOON. Wahahhahhaha.

Our sailormoon doing the japanese-kawaii-act-cute-shootfromthetop-pose.

Okay. Our sailormoon looking quite scary now. HAHAHHAHA.
(I wonder what's with the flash.)

Introducing Stitch (Bowen).

Stitch and his group.
Okay, I must say that SL is smiling nicely in this pic.
Hello, SL if you read this go TAG ON MY TAGBOARD LAHS.

Sailormoon meets Stitch.

Group picture. Liang PoPo, Spongebob, Stitch, Captain Hook and Sailormoon.

Okay. That's all. TGIF was lots of fun.
Thanks to Jiadai's group for organising!
