went to see 方大同, Khalil Fong at heeren.
feels like i'm so 追星 nowdays. but i'm not, really.
so, why did i go?
ONE: because i got nothing to do.
TWO: i like his voice, his style of singing. so wanna go see how he perform live.
THREE: i wanna see how ugly he is.


okay, i think i'm mean.

i gotta see him real-life to see if he's really so ugly, you know?


and so i got to see him, like after waiting for half an hour. the event started late, and i got a lil impatient while waiting.

Hmmm, i don't wanna judge him, but you know, there are certain expectations of celebrities. It's not like any tom, dick or harry can become a celeb.
So, my comments after the event...
FIRSTLY, he's really fair. Like snow white.
SECONDLY, he's really skinny. Sia says her head is 2X his.
THIRDLY, his voice isn't all that awesome. No doubt he has good compositions, but his voice just doesn't blow you away. They say his voice is hoarse after doing many interviews. Maybe. Perhaps. But it's not good enough for me. I was worried for him throughout. He sounded like he was going to 走音 any moment.
FOURTHLY, he doesn't have stage presence. He was quite s t o n e . And he couldn't bring out the feel of the songs through his body language.



So, conclusion is... just listen to his cd. finito.


After church, i rushed down to joe-han's place at upper thomson for a debate society gathering. I'm not a gathering sort of person. I haven't been going for pri school, sec school and jc gatherings. But for debate, it's different. I really miss them. They think with their brains, they are up-to-date, and they are lots of fun.

joe-han made charmaine and corinna play boggle with him, to show that he's really good at it. most of them wanted to play taboo. he insisted he only has boggle. hahhahha. and there's the hocky-pocky elmo watching them play. (joe-han took it from his niece.)

Everyone's freaking camera-shy. I wonder why is it that they can speak so confidently and fluently but when it comes to taking pictures, it's a whole different story.

Oh. Debate society in nyjc's been merged with drama to form eldds. It's like you know when we ask around who's from which primary school, and then you hear that someone's primary school's 倒闭了, it's really sad lah. Now, my cca's 倒闭了 also. After being formed for barely 4 years. I wonder how would vivek (our founder) feel when he knows about this.
