a quote.
"At the end of the day, when it comes down to it, all we really want is to be close to somebody. So this thing where we all keep our distance and pretend not to care about each other, it's usually a load of bull. So we pick and choose who we want to remain close to, and once we've chosen those people, we tend to stick close by. No matter how much we hurt them. The people that are still with you at the end of the day, those are the ones worth keeping. And sure, sometimes close can be too close. But sometimes, that invasion of personal space, it can be exactly what you need."
-----Meredith Grey, from Grey's Anatomy.-------
I know you all miss my long posts. hahhaha.
Erm.
Okay, you know how i love good food.
I believe that good food comes with a price. usually.
So i don't mind paying more, or travelling further.
I WANT GOOD FOOD.
And you know a dish is good when you die die also will savour it till the very last bite.
Even when your tummy is bloated already.
Had lunch with jeslin, liping, liyi, ven, debbie, junyao and dewen in SIM today.
It's my first time to SIM. perhaps the last.
So i better make sure i don't waste the trip by eating something yucky.
In SIM, there's no canteen.
at least i wouldn't call them canteens.
They should be termed foodcourts.
Air-conditioned and pricier.
I got myself seafood pasta from megabites.

Seafood pasta. $5.90
It comes along with the soup of the day.

Pumpkin soup.
Pasta in NUS costs $1.80
Pasta in SIM costs $5.90
But i don't think it's over-priced becaused the place is air-conditioned, and there's tons of ingredients in there. There is a mussel, prawns, squids, capsicum, mushroom, fish, yada yada yada. =)
Maybe i'm not a pumpkin person. That soup, is not for me. I had barely 2 sips of it.
Oh ya. Something weird/unique/special/different.

It's like Marche (pronounced mar-shay)/The Vilage (pronounced vee-large).
[i'm being irritating]
Weird huh. It's like there's no store owners and no rental.
Next stop, The Daily Scoop.
As advertised on Pastor Jeff's blog, and ieatishootipost.
I love ice-cream.
Ever since i worked at Azabu Sabo, which sells yummilicious Hokkaido ice-cream, i became very critical of any ice-cream that touches my tastebuds.

Dark Chocolate ice-cream + Waffles. $5.20
The waffles. Ooh. It's as ieatishootipost says, it's crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, so it's not filling, leaving me wanting more. It melts in your mouth. The dark chocolate is rich and not sweet. Goes well with the chocolate sauce. But the dark choc ice-cream lacks that oomph that blew me away at azabu. I think it's with their low-fat milk.

My fellow makankakis for the day, yizhong and Hongtao.
Both of them have rectangular specs and small eyes. I don't! Haha.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
How can one scoop of ice-cream satisfy me?

Rum and raisins cone. $2.90
Pretty good rum and raisins. But rum could be even stronger. I like the cone. It's like what they offer in Andersons. But yz says Anderson's better. Hence proves my theory. Good food comes with a price. Hahahha.
Next stop for me, dim sum buffet, Aston's and Shanghai People.
Okay, that's three stops.
Yummy!
